Rugby reading task

11/02/21

Back in Black,

An article, Listener 28/1/21

This is about the power of failure. This is about learning from your failures. learning about your resilience. "it was pretty shit" Akira Loane said. his life was bad then his dad kickstarted his fight back. I think it was a good example of working to achieve your goals. It was hard for Akira Loane because he was finding it tough when he was in games he was overweight and didn't feel like himself most of the time. He even said " it was pretty shit" the only reason he got through is because of his family and friends especially his dad. His dad played for Samoa in the 1991 rugby world cup and had some honest talks together. Akiras dad helped him through tough times. he was thinking about not playing rugby anymore but his family and friends quickly talked him out of it. but he knew he had more to give so he inspired himself and keep telling himself he can be better.
